My Story

Meet the founder of Skin Just Like Mine: LaToya Tyler, a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. LaToya was born and raised in the Nation's capital, Washington, D.C., where she later graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. LaToya struggled as an adolescent with hyperpigmentation, where she learned of her skin type. Since becoming a young adult, LaToya tried numerous products from large brands, that just did not meet her expectations. However, LaToya never gave up on her fight to clear and healthy-looking skin.

LaToya did extensive research on ingredients and formulas that worked and products that were just oversaturated.​ Over a decade long fight, LaToya developed a passion for skincare, as she constantly crossed paths with other young adults who also desired healthier looking skin.  Now she is on her assignment of helping others feel more confident, glammed up or while in an au naturel state.
